The Colorado Resource Partners (CORE) integrates training and community resource partners for comprehensive construction workforce readiness and career success. CORE presents the employment platform, WORKNOW to place, retain and advance these workers in order to build incomes for families through high-wage jobs and targeted resource support. WORKNOW supports targeted regional infrastructure projects such as CDOT’s Central 70 development.
WORKNOW exists to support community-centered hiring on infrastructure projects to improve access for all local residents to expand the pipeline of workers for area contractors.
WE believe this new collective impact platform will be a long-term solution to issues in Colorado’s workforce development ecosystem, as it will make the system work better for low-income working parents, employees, employers and the agencies that serve them.
WE represent an alliance of partners, resourced through Community College of Denver’s Center for Workforce Initiatives (CWI) to achieve three main objectives:
- Foster demand-driven skills attainment and employment using regional infrastructure projects as a catalyst
- Enable upward mobility for all metro Denver residents and families
- Align and integrate programs and services and promote exchange of best practices and technical assistance
